Port Louis Eastern Suburb

Opened with Mr. M Connor, shopkeeper, acting as district Postmaster (£12p.a.). On 7 April 1856 the district Postmaster died, evidently the office was then closed as the furniture was transferred to Grand River S.E. In 1948 situated at 11 Little Bridge Street. When re-opened in 1958 it was situated in Mr Chu Seng's shop of the corner of St.Francois Xavier and Magon Streets.
